'Drive-in' Movie

We were all wondering why the teachers were asking for cardboard boxes that we could fit in...and then we found out why. We got to turn them into cars and sit in them to watch a movie. We talked about what our cars would need and how we could do it. We then had time to create our cars before the movie started.

Junior Fun Day

There were so many activities for us to do on our Fun Day. There was a Bouncy Castle, a Disco, Crafts, small wheels and the outside area. We all had so much fun!

Splash Pad fun!

We had so much fun at Onekawa Pools on the Splash pad and Slide. We also got to eat our morning tea outside the pools.

Swimming!

This week we started swimming. We walked down to the Onekawa Pools for our lessons. We are really enjoying these lessons and are excited that we still have lots more to go! Here are some photos of the things we have been doing so far.

Our shop

We have some cool cardboard tables and stands that we have been putting outside and using as a shop. We have been helping each other and selling items to kids in the whole syndicate. We have been using our money and counters to pay for them.

We have also been using the tables inside to do our work and make things on.

Pirate Bookfair

We all enjoyed having a look at the Library and seeing all the amazing books that were being sold at the Book Fair. We loved getting to dress up as Pirates as well!

Our class Big Book was called Pirate Polly. We went into the Library and read it to Ms Baird.

10, 100 and 1000

We have been exploring the numbers 10, 100 and 1000. We used stones to see what 10 looked like and then what 100 looked like. We decided 1000 would be too many stones, so used dots instead.
